With a selection to suit your taste no matter what your wallet size, our team in the 505 kitchen are cooking up a storm. So drop by for dinner or nibble on some snacks as the night rolls along.

Just a quick reminder, 505 does not take bookings, doors open at 6pm Monday-Saturday so get here nice and early to snag a good couch or table.

505 is also available for private functions

Summer Menu 2014

Bar Food (Monday-Saturday) all boards $18.50


choice of one cheese served with fresh apple, dried fruit and crisp breads.

Ask staff for daily cheese selection (additional cheese $7)

Three cheese fondu

fondu of grueyer, vintage cheddar and edam served with crisp seasonal vegetables, apple and rye bread.

Pate de Campagne

terrine of chicken, pork, chicken livers, brandy, and thyme served with homemade citrus chutney, coleslaw, pickles and crisp bread.

Veg board

a tasty selection of house made seasonal pickled veg, apple and beetroot salad, agave pickled red cabbage, chutneys, greens, bocconcini, olives and rye bread.


Corned Beef Sandwich

house made corned beef toasted on rye with chutney, pickled cabbage, greens, provolone and mustard mayo served w/ coleslaw and fries.


gravalax cured in-house with gin, fennel and citrus. Served with fermented beetroot and apple salad, rye bread, greens and a dill creme freche. (ask staff for daily fish selection)

Mushroom, rosemary & bocconcini arancini

crisp arancini served with a mixed leaf salad and garlic aioli.

Antipasto salad

seasonal mixed greens, serrano ham, bocconcini, in-house marinated olives, with a caramelised balsamic dressing.

Chunky fries- $8

Nuts- $8 (whole nuts in the shell)

Friday and Saturday night mains

505 Burger- $22.50

House made lamb patty served with greens, coleslaw, cheese, beetroot and mint chutney on a brioche bun (add fries $4).

Tuscan Bread Salad- $18.50

-fresh vine ripened tomatoes, feta, rosemary, toasted rye bread tossed together with olive oil and caramelised balsamic dressing.

Rump Steak- $22.50

-250 gram rump steak cooked to your liking with a choice of one side (additional sides $6).

sides: coleslaw, beetroot and apple salad, salad greens, sauerkraut and dill pickles, or fries


Home made cakes $6 or $10 w/ ice cream

-daily selection of homemade cakes.

505 Ice Cream Sandwich - $12

-creamy vanilla ice cream served sandwiched between a toasted brioche bun with lashings of homemade butterscotch sauce.

Affogato - $8

-strong plunger coffee poured over vanilla ice cream.

Boozy Affocato - $16

-add a liquor of your choice, we recommend frangelico.

6 Nights a Week at Venue 505

Kicking off 2015 we are increasing the fun times with:

Monday nights are free entry with our Jazz Jam and Games Night. With live music and board games a plenty. It's boogie woogie with your backgammon.

Come party down for 'Old School' Tuesdays with a live funk and groove band, invited guests jamming and DJ selections of some rare grooves. And it's FREE entry!!!

Wednesdays is a great night for the very best in contemporary Jazz and World music from some seriously world class players. A feast for the senses and especially your ears.

Thursdays will feature some of the new and old faces of 'beat' music reaching into the vaults of Reggae, Afro-Beat, Funk, Jazz and more. Free entry to 505 members!

Fridays are a night to unwind for the week with a blend of some high class and fun acts that range from Swing, Gypsy, Worls, Soul, Funk and more.

Saturdays are our concert series and a perfect night to sit back and let your ears be trated to the most inspiring vocalists and instrumentalists Australia has to offer.

Love Roots, Groove, Funk and Jazz music? Tuesdays are all about it with free entry a lounge atmosphere, live funk trio and resident DJ. Check out the new cocktail menu in style and treat yourself to an early week hang. Some of Sydney’s finest muso’s will be dropping by to jam (or just prop up the bar) Cocktail hour from 6-730!
